Welcome to National Park Ski & Country Club (Inc)

The National Park Ski and Country Club (NPSCC) is designed to be small and family-oriented.

The Club's Lodge is situated in National Park, adjacent to State Highway 1, and within walking distance of the local Ski Shops, Pubs and Restaurants. It is a short drive to Whakapapa Ski Field and close enough to the Turoa Ski Field to make skiing there a viable alternative, either for weather considerations, or to visit and explore another terrain. Either way both the major commercial Ski Fields on Mt Ruapehu are at our doorstep.

For extended Family Ski holidays, Family weekend skiing, Group Skiing Trips, overnight Ski Trips, etc, the Club has the advantage of being centrally located without the sometimes disadvantage of being snowed in in a Lodge higher up on Mt Ruapehu.

Mt Ruapehu and the Tongariro National Park offer a very diverse range of activities all year round. These include Mountain Biking, Tramping, Hiking, Walking, and generally exploring the heritage of the whole central North Island area, with its links to great exploration and developments that took place in the opening up of New Zealand. The world renowned Raurimu Railway Spiral is just a few kilometres to the north, and there is a great deal of Railway heritage that can be easily visited on foot or by Mountain Bike, around Ohakune to the south.

Please explore our Web Site to find out more about the Club, and also look at what the Central North Island Volcanic Plateau has to offer with our comprehensive listing of No Cost Activities that can be undertaken, which all serves to make the Ski Lodge an ideal place to base your year round adventures from.

Unlike many other clubs, the National Park Ski and Country Club is self-catering. This is one way we can keep costs down, allowing all guests to organise their time and dietary requirements themselves. The club's members make guests feel welcome, and in this regard, there is a cosy lounge containing a fireplace and television.
